So, after more than a week of waiting, the package from Big Bad Toy Store bearing Maketoys Cross-Dimension 01, Striker Manus, finally arrived.
It seems that the shipping delays were a case of bad timing, as Striker Manus hit at around the same time as Unite Warriors Computron, and over the course of a couple of days, a bunch of BBTS customers, like myself, hit their “Ship My Loot Now” button. As such, it took a few extra days to get orders shipped out.
That said, this figure is absolutely worth the wait.
I’ll go more in-depth in my forthcoming video review, but I’m really impressed with Striker Manus all-around. From the quality of the plastics, to the paint apps, to the design philosophy, to the articulation and transformation, you name it, I was pleased with virtually every aspect of Maketoys latest release. The only let-down is the bland-nature of his wind-vane blaster, but that’s mere nitpicking.
He’s very solid, with real heft and weight to him. And while it can take a bit of fiddling to get used to the way the feet articulate, once you have that down its time to strike a pose and VOGUE, baby.
Anyway, here’s my initial Striker Manus gallery. He’ll absolutely be featuring in more photo galleries to come!
