Mal's a great character, though I don't know if he'd be any fun hanging out with as he's pretty gruff with people, specially new people. Inara and Kaylee seem to be more fun, and I'd watch Mal from a distance. He seems more of the "observable" type rather than the "personable" type. heh

Being that Inara's been trained to get along with people, there's no way you could have a bad time with her.

Thankyou! It just occured to me not long ago. I mean, the only person on the ship who really doesn't get along with her is Mal, but he's got a special gift for pissing people off if he wants to, and he and Inara don't hate each other as much as they say they do.

Mal's gruffness is a cover up to hide what's really there. It's a self defense mechanism. He's actually let his guard down a few times and shown his feelings. It would be an interesting adventure to hang out with him.
