No. That's not news. However, I'd hoped this show would do well enough as a 24 lead-in to get decent ratings and stick aorund. This doesn't look good at all, because FOX rarely gives flagging shows a chance to build an audience.

Yes, I was hoping it had a chance since it had a decent timeslot. To not doing any better than that as a 24 lead-in...does not bode well.

They really fucked up the premiere. The first episode should have aired in Prison Break's timeslot, not the THIRD episode. People might have given it a chance if it premiered on Monday, but if people didn't see it on Sunday (and it appears that is a very, very large group of people), then they would have been thoroughly confused by the episode that aired Monday.

It would be like jumping onto Lost after the plane crashed.

Dude, I watched Lost from the beginning through season 2 and I had no idea what the fuck was going on...
Unsettling dreams plague the people of Arkham, while something terrible rages in the hills outside of Dunwich. A sickly mist crawls over ancient Kingsport and whispers abound of the pollution of Innsmouth’s bloodlines.

This is Lovecraft Country.

Pity it isn't doing well. Perhaps this is Fillion's destiny, to always be playing against the odds? :)
The third ep was pretty good I thought, love the camerawork.

There's always the interweb...

I'll put up with MySpace for this. FWIW, I'm on 768K DSL and I've watched all three eps with no lag.

I missed the first few minutes of the premiere on Sunday, so when I watched the third ep, I was like "Holy Crap! Police Detective Jubal Early!" 8) And I really less than three'd the last act of the third episode, and not just because I'm a long-time Mopar fan (but that was a big part of it :)) .

I'll agree that FOX totally snafued the debut of the series. Showing the hook for the show outside of the show's regular timeslot reeks of their standard ineptitude. It's no wonder they rely so heavily on Idol, The Simpsons, and Baseball. From what I've been told, Fox has committed to airing six of the ordered episodes, so we've already seen half of what will definetly be shown. The remaining eps from the first season might be broadcast after they run whatever they're replacing Drive with in a few weeks. (I don't have the details handy. My sister, who follows this stuff a lot more in-depth than I do, 'splained this to me.)

Confirmed by TV Guide: Drive goes into park after the 5/07 episode, billed as the "Season Finale."

So what is that, 6 episodes total?

Sigh.
