Besides I find it frightening - to awaken and be unsure of everything you remember about life not being just part of a dream. Waking means I've slept, and sleep dissolves what certainty I have left.

I was actually given the best mother's day card possible today. One made during school by my 7 year old daughter who wrote her own personal haiku on the inside of the card.

I made my mother's day card. Which helped a lot, since I can't stand those "Oh, you're my best friend, you've taught me so much, I'm so glad to that we're friends". Just, no.
Kitty: Oh my god, you teach ethics?
Emma: Yes, do let's make jokes right now.
Kitty: I'm not joking. I have a very large problem with that concept.
