Free Comic Book Day

Can Batman really breathe in space? Who would win in a battle between John Byrne and Erik Larsen? Love your Transformers? Are you just nuts for mint-on-card in general? This is the place to talk about it!

So what did you guys get?

I, upon the suggestion of the wise Dusty, got Blackest Night and it was a VERY good read.
Smile. It could be worse.

Stuff I am just going to give away. :)

Nothing really made me want to have it this year.

Blackest Night #0 is extremely important, so anyone interested in the DCU should try to get it.

Blackest Night is reportedly selling out quickly.

And with good reason. It is awesome.

I take back what I said, now that I have read it, I rather enjoyed the avengers book.

I wish that I had grabbed Blackest Night, if for nothing else than to pass it on to someone that might not have gotten it. My shop had plenty.

Ooh, I missed Blackest Night. I really hope there's a chance for me to be able to get it in the near future, then, if it's really that good.

Well, I was pleased with this fcbd. Spent about $20 on free and discounted comics, including 8 Sandman Mystery Theatre's for what should of been .25 each.

In terms of freebies, I think I enjoyed the After Watchmen selections best, particuarly the Preacher book, which seemed really interesting from it's preview issue. I'm going to have to look into collecting it as soon as I can.

They did have a good sale going at my shop as well. I wish I had more to spend. There is always next year.

There was a 25% off sale at the local shop here too. I don't know if I took best advantage of it, but I got some dollar bin stuff for 75 cents each. :)
