I have watched #2 a few times and each time I really enjoy it, but I watch so much TV I was trying to stay away from a Wednesday night show.

Didn't we just get word in the Dollhouse thread that Fox is happy with the ratings and are thinking about giving it a second season and a better time slot?

And I'm pretty sure Fox has been satisfied with Fringe's ratings as well.

I don't want them to cancel Life. I adore that show. I also love Chuck. Dollhouse and Terminator have dismal ratings. As far as I know, FOX hasn't said one way or another what the plan for either show is. The stuff I've read is speculation. I also agree that FOX is satisfied with Fringe's ratings. I can't imagine they aren't unless it's really been dipping recently. I don't watch it anymore.

Chuck and Fringe are safe.

Terminator is dead.

Life and Dollhouse are probably dead.

Place your bets!

I disagree about Chuck. NBC has to cancel 5 shows and Chuck's ratings are only a little better than Life's ratings. It's definitely on the bubble as well.

FOX may decide to give Dollhouse a bit more time. They did with Terminator, so I think it's possible.

Terminator's dead, according to Entertainment Weekly.

And Chuck's ratings have actually gone UP the past couple weeks, which is unheard of at NBC lately. Also, it's generally known that the NBC execs believe in Chuck and think it has a chance to grow into a big hit. There is no such known faith in Life, which has been pretty much marked for death since its second season started.

I haven't read that NBC executives believe in Chuck more than they believe in Life. That doesn't mean they don't, but I'm just saying. I think they're looking to keep the shows with the highest ratings since it's easier to sell the ad spots for those. That's pretty much what tv is all about from the other side of things anyway.

I don't know what they're thinking, but I know they believed in Life more than they believed in Chuck at one point. They almost canceled Chuck after the first season. I remember reading an interview with an NBC executive in which he said they were considering canceling Chuck.

As I said above, I don't think they believe in either of the two shows now, though. I think both will be canceled. Jay Leno is much more important to them than any scripted show is.

Well, we'll just have to wait a few weeks for you to be proven wrong. 8)

And just to clarify, I'm not pulling this stuff out of thin air. I get most of my information from online columnist Michael Ausiello, a guy who gets about 90% of this stuff right, and has for years, and James Hibberd's The Live Feed, a website that analyzes television ratings on a daily basis.

Yeah, I know that you know your stuff. When I called you a poo head I was really calling FOX a poo head. I have fallen in love with Dollhouse.

Anybody can be wrong, so I never trust what I read until the networks actually announce their plans. The one thing I will do if I read that a show I like is on the bubble is tell the network I watch the broadcast of the show so I see the ads even though I don't have a ratings box. I also ask them not to cancel the show.
