My ex (the truly, truly evil one...) is on Facebook and friends with my brother (don't ask. I'll explain some other time.). He left a comment to my brother's status. I clicked on his name, just out of curiosity.

He has friended my aunt. He and his NEW WIFE have friended my aunt. And she has friended them back.

I...have no words. I used to think of this aunt as an older sister.

I know I shouldn't be, I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's really upsetting me. Why, out of all the people in the world, would she friend them? Christ, I'd rather she friend the psycho nurse ex than him, and the psycho nurse ex really doesn't get ANY favorable looks, even though he married my best friend from childhood.

*sigh* I don't know what to say. Fuck.
Kitty: Oh my god, you teach ethics?
Emma: Yes, do let's make jokes right now.
Kitty: I'm not joking. I have a very large problem with that concept.

My only reasoning would be to keep from feeling guilty if she didn't friend them. I have lots of "friends" on my facebook who wouldn't get the time of day from me in the real world, but have been added out of guilt. huh

This crap is why I avoid it altogether.
Unsettling dreams plague the people of Arkham, while something terrible rages in the hills outside of Dunwich. A sickly mist crawls over ancient Kingsport and whispers abound of the pollution of Innsmouth’s bloodlines.

This is Lovecraft Country.

I really do it automatically now. If I remember your face from college/high school you get accepted. I really only talk to 3 or 4 people on there, and mostly it's for photos. Don't even know why I bother really.

I think it's out of guilt as well. I use facebook some, but I have more people on my friends list than I can really follow. I don't keep up with most of the people on my list.

I know I am very selective regarding my myspace friends but for some reason I let any Joe Blow onto facebook. Today I let someone on that I've not seen or spoke with since grade school. We are talking 20 years since I last spoke with him.
